1. Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how the Byte mobile application (the “App”) accesses, processes, stores, and shares information. Features may vary by operating system and App version.
2. Information kept on your device
Byte performs engineering calculations on your device. Calculation inputs and results, Favorites, up to 20 recent History entries, and your language preference may be stored in the App’s private local storage. This information is not uploaded by the core calculator features.
The current feedback screen is a front-end prototype. Feedback text, optional email, and selected attachments are not transmitted to Byte or any feedback server. The form is cleared after the simulated success message.
3. Network and technical information
When the App starts, it checks network availability and sends a limited configuration request to www.ibden.com. Like most internet requests, the receiving server and network infrastructure may process the IP address, request time, and standard HTTP headers for delivery, reliability, and security. Byte does not use this request to create an advertising profile or track you across apps.
If the configuration service instructs the App to display remote web content, the destination website may receive standard network and browser information and may use cookies or web storage. Any such website is also governed by its own privacy notice.
4. Permissions and device access
- Internet and network state: used for the startup configuration check and to detect when connectivity returns.
- Camera: requested only after you choose Take Photo or Record Video on the feedback screen. Captured files are prepared locally for the prototype and are not uploaded.
- Selected photos and videos: accessed only after you make a selection through the system picker. On supported Android versions, Byte does not request broad
READ_MEDIA_IMAGESorREAD_MEDIA_VIDEOaccess. - Legacy Android storage: limited storage permissions are declared only for older Android compatibility (read through API 32; write through API 28). Byte does not scan your full media library for the feedback feature.
Byte does not request location, contacts, call logs, SMS, or microphone permission. When recording video through the system camera application, audio behavior is controlled by that camera application and its settings.
5. How information is used
Information is used only to provide calculations, save your chosen Favorites and History, remember language preferences, operate optional camera/media actions, check startup configuration, maintain reliability, and protect the service from abuse.
6. Sharing, advertising, and tracking
Byte does not sell personal data. The App does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not use advertising identifiers for tracking. Information is disclosed only to operating-system components or network/hosting providers when necessary to provide the functions described above, or when required by law.
7. Retention, deletion, and your choices
- Delete individual Favorites or History entries in the App, or clear History from the History page.
- Clear the App’s storage or uninstall Byte to remove locally stored App data.
- Media selected from your library remains under your control. Camera captures created for feedback may remain in the App’s temporary cache until Android or the App clears that cache, or until the App is uninstalled.
- Routine service logs, if created during network requests, are retained only as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, and service operation, then deleted or anonymized.
Byte has no account system. Where server information can reasonably be linked to you, you may request access or deletion through the contact method below.
8. Security
Byte uses private application storage for local records and HTTPS for the startup configuration request. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Remote web content, when displayed, may use its own transport and security controls.
9. Children’s privacy
Byte is a general-purpose engineering utility and is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
10. Future feedback service
If a later version connects the feedback screen to a real service, this Policy and the relevant app-store privacy declarations will be updated before feedback text, email addresses, images, or videos are uploaded. Any required notice or consent will be presented at the point of collection.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when the App or legal requirements change. The latest version will show a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or its official store listing when appropriate.

3. 网络与技术信息
应用启动时会检查网络状态，并向 www.ibden.com 发送有限的配置请求。与通常的互联网请求一样，接收服务器及网络基础设施可能会处理 IP 地址、请求时间和标准 HTTP 请求头，用于内容传输、稳定性与安全防护。Byte 不会利用该请求建立广告画像，也不会进行跨应用跟踪。
如果配置服务指示应用展示远程网页内容，目标网站可能接收标准网络和浏览器信息，并可能使用 Cookie 或网页存储；相关网站同时受其自身隐私声明约束。
4. 权限与设备访问
- 互联网与网络状态：用于启动配置检查，以及在网络恢复时自动重试。
- 相机：仅当您在反馈页面主动选择“拍照”或“录制视频”后申请。原型中拍摄的文件只在本地准备，不会上传。
- 所选图片和视频：仅在您通过系统选择器主动选取后访问。在支持的 Android 版本上，Byte 不申请广泛的
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES或READ_MEDIA_VIDEO权限。 - 旧版 Android 存储权限：仅为兼容旧系统而声明有限权限（读取最高至 API 32，写入最高至 API 28）。反馈功能不会扫描您的整个媒体库。
Byte 不申请位置、通讯录、通话记录、短信或麦克风权限。通过系统相机应用录制视频时，是否录入声音由该相机应用及其设置决定。
5. 信息用途
相关信息仅用于完成工程计算、保存您选择的收藏与历史记录、记住语言偏好、执行可选的相机或媒体操作、检查启动配置、保障服务稳定性以及防止滥用。
6. 共享、广告与跟踪
Byte 不出售个人数据，不集成广告或分析 SDK，也不使用广告标识符进行跟踪。仅会在实现上述功能所必需时向操作系统组件、网络或托管服务提供方传递必要信息，或在法律要求时依法披露。
7. 保存期限、删除与您的选择
- 您可以在应用内删除单条收藏或历史记录，也可以在历史页面清空历史记录。
- 清除应用存储或卸载 Byte，可以删除应用在设备本地保存的数据。
- 从媒体库选择的文件仍由您控制。为反馈拍摄的文件可能暂时保留在应用缓存中，直至 Android 或应用清理缓存，或应用被卸载。
- 网络请求过程中如产生常规服务日志，仅会在安全防护、故障排查和服务运行所合理需要的期限内保留，之后删除或匿名化。
Byte 不提供账号系统。对于能够合理关联到您的服务器信息，您可以通过下方联系方式请求访问或删除。
8. 信息安全
Byte 使用应用私有存储保存本地记录，并通过 HTTPS 发送启动配置请求。我们会采取合理的技术与组织措施保护信息，但任何存储或传输方式都无法保证绝对安全。展示远程网页内容时，该内容可能使用其自身的传输与安全措施。
9. 儿童隐私
Byte 是面向普通用户的工程工具，不以 13 岁以下儿童或当地法律规定的最低年龄以下人群为目标。我们不会故意收集儿童个人信息。如果您认为儿童提供了个人信息，请联系我们。
10. 后续真实反馈服务
如果后续版本将反馈页面接入真实服务，我们会在上传反馈内容、邮箱地址、图片或视频之前更新本政策与应用商店隐私声明，并在收集位置提供法律要求的提示或征得同意。
11. 政策变更
当应用功能或法律要求发生变化时，我们可能更新本政策。最新版本会显示新的“最后更新”日期；如有重大变更，我们会在适当情况下通过应用或官方商店页面进行说明。
